I am starting to like it here more and more; the community vibe and energetic atmosphere are so great. Although it feels like I like it for them, I’m not sure if it’s for me. I met a beautiful lady at the Black Market who’s just by herself promoting local Australian music. On Instagram it’s called Yelo. live if you’d like to support her.
As it happens, a reaction came to the posts about explaining root causes of autism and different characters (hiding behind the labels) in the next one from the people that it wasn’t about, but since they reacted, everyone in their own way, there’s definitely something in it for them. The people who inspired these chapters aren’t in my circle; they never were.
I had a FaceTime with my aunt Anne from overseas over a couple of years :), and she told me about my cousin, who had pretty much the same point of view (reasoning -this world isn’t good enough for children) about why it’s not a good idea to have children. Apparently, he is reading here, so yes, please have children; if anyone should, it should be you, and you too, whoever you are in doubt of, you probably will be the best parent. I remember the same aunt asking me about a decade ago, ‘Wouldn’t you want a little Reena to play with…kmh kmh? It didn’t tickle my ego like she was hoping for. 🙂 However, children can handle the world if they have great parents/ upbringing. ‘I was dreaming about setting up my life in a foreign country, so I really didn’t see how it could fit with that plan. (Note: limited point of view). I am not advocating against having children; I simply explained why and when I probably decided on it in my head. Trust your own judgement, or rather, do not judge; love your way to the clarity in it. There are people you want to have children with and there are people you love but do not feel the urge to have them. For men it’s probably a bit different or rather it used to; they have the urge to do it no matter what, but again, obviously, we can’t generalise.
Do not ignore your own knowing ever. Only you know what’s true to you. Great, we got these out of the way.
I also noticed stronger engagement in the bigger Australian cities with topics getting more serious, whereas in some places people aren’t connecting that much. Interesting. However, to new readers – there are a lot of ‘fairy stories’ among older posts that are just as relevant, so if you’ve been brave to read here recently, you definitely could use some magic too! Please have a look into the old ones.
A trip to Byron was so much better than expected. I was ready for it being emotionally challenging, but it wasn’t. I was somehow so full of love or something that nothing could bother that. Although it was tears at first and laughs later… ‘All’s well that ends well.’ Thank you, Mr Shakespeare. 🙂 I saw hundreds and hundreds of dolphins having fun in the ocean; that itself was spectacular. Enormous gratitude for what is.
The heart-brain harmony practice has really done its job. (info here: Do not miss a Heartbeat)I think the challenge was huge, as really the so-called shadow side was coming through, and it was the most unpleasant experience ever, like falling into glimpses of complete darkness (depression) without knowing if you’re able to crawl out, and every time it felt like I didn’t know if I could. So moral of the story: whatever you do in the self-healing space, know when to slow down or stop or take a break, and do not start your healing journey by exploring the shadow sides. I slowed down and did only the things that worked for me at the time. It has been worth it; a lot of things found their endings that had constantly put me at unease. Suddenly it all just became clear. If that’s coherence, I am on it. Only strawberries and ice cream life is shallow; acknowledging the dark side of yourself brings the depth to it, and strawberries and ice cream become even better too, although I do not know how that’s possible. lol
There was a question asked: Do I always have to do that self-work? Can’t I just enjoy my life? We’re humans; we’re meant to evolve. It doesn’t have to be hard; it can be fun; it’s exploration. You’ll keep finding little pits, and pieces is what you want to do. But the short answer is yes. Your self-healing could be anything: running, surfing, reading, or watching something that contributes to you unless you put awareness into it. Meaning you’re doing it with intention. I’ll take my time now… for (what’s fun for me?).
What is fun for me today? 🙂
Hearing that music (see below) just the other day made me think:
Love your ordinary …
Coffee shop
Walks
Work
Sightseeing
People
Pets, Animals
A rainy day
Nature
Rides
Food
Your self-expression
In this world of always aiming for something special
Make a list of your ordinaries.
…makes you realise nothing really is ordinary ever.
Love your ordinaries ♥️
Sorry, I uploaded the wrong music, that’s the one! 🙂 (28/04/26)
