Would Singing in a Pathology Waiting Room Be Too Much? How to Stop Overthinking

A simple moment in a waiting room turns into a reflection on overthinking, presence and letting go. What if the problem isn’t the situation—but your thoughts?

Yesterday, I was sitting in the pathology waiting room, waiting for my blood test to be done. We were the first 5 in the early morning. The room was dead quiet until the nurse switched on some kind of national radio; a very specific, nostalgic vibe was coming through, the somewhat familiar talking voices, almost like going back to childhood. Then there was a song on the radio, R.M.I.’s ‘Losing My Religion’. I have a habit of humming along, although not so much in the public places but more so at home or in the car, but the lady next to me started singing along, and I couldn’t resist but joined her. She was surprised, as was I 🙂 Gosh, I love Aus!

I guess it was the nerves; I am not a fan of the blood tests. Being afraid to see blood is interesting, as blood is actually love, and both are beautiful.

I am a little nervous this morning as I am going to have a conversation that determines my next coming months.

I remembered the most brilliant teaching ever from E. Tolle: The problem isn’t the situation; the bothersome thing is your own thoughts about it. That applies to anything and to anyone in life; we project our own thoughts onto situations or even onto people. We tend to think about what’s going to happen; we tend to think about what they’re thinking after exchanging one sentence with them, even if that. Tolle calls it mental illness – the real pandemic, and it’s not far from the truth. Those are our today’s overactive minds.

What would it take to change that? What would life be if you noticed every time, you’re doing it? Projecting your own thoughts, expectations, and separations onto others or onto situations.

What would it be like if you had no expectations, separations, or rejections about your day, your job, your people, your money, your love, yourself or your life?

That brings me back to Access Bars again; it’s still the most non-invasive, easiest, most joyful process I’ve experienced so far.

I should put together a chapter on what bars have done for me, as I keep writing about my experiences in different places yet do not remember all of them at once. But I remembered one weird experience I had a while ago. I went for a bars swap every week; she lived about 14 km from my place. I hadn’t been in Brisbane for long at that stage, and when I was picked up again, I said that I wanted to drive. I had no experience driving in this city, nor had I driven a car for a while, and yet I was convinced I wanted to do that, there was no fear or insecurity. The bars session had unlocked something – wiped off the insecure thought about it. It’s like losing unnecessary judgement. The Middle Man was gone!!! That’s what it does: unlocks blockages, set points of views, and limitations. You feel relaxed and inspired or happy for no reason.

A similar experience was with modelling about 3 years ago. I remember the first time, standing behind the curtain, the room full of guests, and I was ‘waking up’ to a thought, ‘What am I doing?!’ The next thought: oh well, I am doing it, so I’d better do it good! If I had gone into my head, I would’ve never done it, because there are plenty of reasons why I am not fitting into that picture. The list goes on; the next one was a team coordination role with the government project last year. And, now, what else is possible?

The common denominator has been curiosity and not motivation. No bravery needed because there’s no fear. You’ll get into inspired action; it’s not a force, it’s a willingness to live, enthusiasm.

I have seen people completely losing themselves with motivation, destroying everyone / everything on the way to the goal. It’s thinking there’s only one way, there’s always many more, nonviolent ones.

Let the middle man go, and see what can come out of it! 🙂

Resources:

  • read Tolle’s book ‘Practicing the Power of Now’ no need to understand just read it, million times.
  • Listen to D.Heer’s Youtube channel he talks your brain empty & you feel lighter afterword’s (I know – it makes sense):)
  • Get your bars run book with a practitioner in your city
  • Join Inner harmony Movement, nervous system reset (it’s renamed now to the Boom Room): Inner Harmony Movement
  • Get Healy, that gives you insights, too honest ones on your inner world & helps to rise your vibration, and gives you information about all your organs, skin, mental health etc. Healy

And then can you imagine that something that you actually always wanted (or only wondered what if…) to do or be you’re just stepping into, instead of constant questioning and mind chatter around it? That’s living from the space or you could say heart, not from mind clutter (judgements, expectations, separations). More of that please!!!

Ask questions with curiosity.

The question popped into my mind yesterday: What am I refusing to be that if I didn’t, would actualise the reality I’m asking for?

If I could choose anything, what would I choose?

What if the seemingly contradicting things you love are the perfect combination of your uniqueness that is being you is that what is required at this time?

Winter is coming, in this side of the world, lol, keep warm!

Thursday is a heart Chakra day; feed your body with something green. Love helps too if that’s available for you today.

Thank you for being here, you’re the bravest!

Music: Mellow keeps coming; it’s so beautiful, and I don’t think anyone else likes it. ‘Cello’ from the last post keeps my eyes watered.
